Butterfly Valley, one of the first places that comes to mind when Fethiye is mentioned. Butterfly Valley is one of the few hidden paradises not only in Turkey but also in the world. Transportation to the valley can only be done by boats. Butterfly Valley, where there are no businesses or constructions around, is in a very untouched state. For this reason, activities such as picnics, camping and nature walks can be carried out in the valley, whose natural beauties are uniquely preserved. There are also slopes in the structure where trekking can be done in the Butterfly Valley, where the color of the sea is turquoise. The valley, in which there are more than 80 butterfly species, takes its name from here.
Hill of Lovers
The Hill of Lovers, which is very close to the district center, is at the point where the most beautiful view of Fethiye opens. The hill, which offers very impressive views, especially during sunrise and sunset, is visited with interest by everyone, both locals and foreigners. Kayaköy, which is among the first places to be visited and seen in Fethiye with its historical texture, is a magnificent place with its desolation and historical texture. Kayaköy, which offers magnificent views especially for photographers, contains an abandoned school, church and approximately 3500 households. Kayaköy, an old Greek village, was evacuated during the population exchange, and then Turks wanted to be resettled, but the Turks did not stay in the village permanently. The village, which was completely abandoned after the 1930s, is now being tried to be brought into tourism. It is possible to travel on foot or by horse in Kayaköy, which is 14 kilometers away from the center. During these excursions, you can enter the abandoned places. There are many kinds of dishes with local dishes at the entrance of the village and in the restaurants in it.
